No substitute for a great teacher

I keep playing with the cute teacher appreciation themed stamps and dies.  I should be more prepared for next year then!

My central image is actually a negative die cut with the blue lined paper peaking out even though in the picture it looks like I die cut the apple out of the blue lined paper.  It would work either way!  I white embossed the sentiment on black card stock.  After looking through my stash of buttons, I could not find any red buttons so I used my Copic markers to color two of them red - it's a great way to get matching embellishments!

Simple Thanks

Hello! I have a super quick and CAS thanks card that you could whip up into gift sets quickly.  With a bit of sponging, you can add depth to an otherwise flat card.  Hope you like it!

I hope you can play along with this month's challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge:  Just Say Thanks.  And if you'd like more inspiration, please check out by my talented Challenge Team sisters ChrisJulie, and Robin.  Remember that you have until June 4 to link to the ODBD blog.

What Greater Thing Is There

Hello!  I'm not a huge washi tape person - except to use them to hold my dies in place when I run them through the Big Shot - but I got this pink roll with swirls of gold in them and I really wanted to use them.  This new stamp from Quietfire Design was also just begging to be inked.  Hence the gold embossing!  I love gold embossing - and there's something about Suzanne's lettering that demands elegance.

I gold embossed on vellum and there is a lavender color wash behind it - just hard to capture - and then I adhered the vellum using the gold threaded washi tape.  I added some Wild Orchid Flowers and green beads to finish my card.

Thanks for looking!

Teacher Thanks Shaker Card

Hello!  I have another teacher appreciation card for you today - and it's perfect for this month's Just Say Thanks challenge for ODBD's Shining the Light Challenge.  I used the A+ Apples die set to make a window for the shaker element and embossed the sentiment from Class Act in white over black card stock.  I love it that the largest die from the Mini Label Dies is a perfect fit.  I also added a white Script Thanks across the apple.  It fit perfectly across the Pierced Square.
